CONTENT MARKETING
Tally Solutions powers more than 2.7 million businesses across India and international markets. Its flagship product, TallyPrime, is one of the country’s most widely used accounting and business management platforms, helping businesses manage invoicing, GST, inventory, payroll, banking, and financial reporting.
But Tally’s ecosystem is broader. TallyCapital provides lending. Smart Moves is the knowledge hub for small business operators and entrepreneurs, translating complex business and tax concepts into actionable guidance.
The audience spans India (where GST and ICAI standards apply), UAE (with its own VAT and compliance framework), and Saudi Arabia (with different labour laws and tax obligations). Serving audiences across all three countries means every piece of content must reflect local tax laws, compliance requirements, and business regulations. Content that works in one market may be inaccurate or even misleading in another.
When Justwords partnered with Tally Solutions in December 2023, it needed to scale content across multiple geographies while maintaining accuracy in rapidly changing regulatory environments. The engagement covered blogs, glossary pages, landing pages, and guest posts across TallyPrime and Smart Moves, with every asset tailored to the regulatory and business context of India, the UAE, or Saudi Arabia.
The core problem: tax laws change constantly, and often differently across markets. GST rules in India update every few months. VAT requirements in the UAE shift. Saudi Arabia’s labour compliance standards evolve. A blog about “how to file GST returns” published in January could potentially get outdated by March.
The second problem: subject matter expertise is locational. You cannot write accurate content about GST without understanding ICAI standards and the Indian tax code. You cannot write about UAE VAT without knowing the UAE Tax Authority’s latest guidance. Non-specialised writers write content that sounds plausible but is factually wrong. And in a compliance category, wrong is dangerous.
The third problem: scale and diversity. Tally needed 20-25 pieces per month when the engagement started. By March 2026, that needed to scale to 300 pieces per month. At that volume, managing quality, accuracy, and consistency across three geographies and rapidly changing regulatory landscapes is an operational challenge that a few content teams can handle.
Specialise writers by geography and subject matter.
Rather than hire general content writers and brief them on compliance topics, Justwords built a team structure where writers were matched to their areas of expertise. Writers familiar with Indian GST and ICAI standards wrote for the India content stream. Writers with UAE VAT expertise wrote for that geography. Saudi Arabia content was handled by writers with labour law and tax compliance knowledge specific to KSA.
This meant the content team couldn’t scale horizontally (hire more writers and distribute work). It had to scale vertically (deepening expertise and relying on writers who already knew the regulatory landscape), so accuracy didn’t depend on research alone.
Build content around regulatory calendars.
Tax deadlines, compliance windows, regulatory updates, and seasonal business challenges drive what business owners actually search for and care about. Rather than publishing generic content about “how to do GST returns,” Justwords helped Tally publish content around the actual regulatory calendar – GSTR-1 filing deadlines, quarterly compliance windows, new tax rules, budget impacts, payroll tax changes.
This made content timely and commercially relevant. A business owner searching for help with GSTR-3B filing during the filing window finds relevant content because it was published specifically for that window, not as generic evergreen content months earlier.
Write for two distinct audiences simultaneously.
TallyPrime content serves chartered accountants and professional bookkeepers, which is an educated, compliance-expert audience. Smart Moves serves small business owners and first-generation entrepreneurs – people managing their business finances for the first time, often without formal accounting training. A guide around GST compliance needs two completely different content pieces answering different levels of questions and taking different angles. One technical, detailed, standards-based. One practical, jargon-free, action-oriented.
Managing both required parallel content streams, not one-size-fits-all writing.
Manage regulatory changes as an editorial function.
When a new tax rule is announced, when GST regulations change, or when the UAE Tax Authority updates VAT guidance, that becomes a content trigger immediately. Justwords worked with Tally Solutions to maintain a regulatory monitoring function: tracking changes as they happen, updating affected content, and publishing timely guidance on what the change means for users.
This is the difference between content that is outdated the moment it publishes and content that stays current and useful.
From December 2023 to June 2026, here’s what Tally Solutions achieved:
Writing about compliance is not like writing about software features. Features are stable. Rules change. Tax deadlines are immovable. Business owners panic during filing windows. Content needs to be ready before the panic hits.
The scale of 300+ content pieces per month across three geographies and multiple formats, with subject matter accuracy as a non-negotiable requirement, is beyond what most content agencies can deliver. It required writers with specific expertise. It required working as per the regulatory calendar. And it required editorial oversight across geographies.
Accounting software, tax compliance, fintech, and healthcare are the kind of categories where content accuracy is not a marketing concern; it’s a legal one. Scale in these categories cannot come from hiring more generic writers. It comes from building specialist teams, automating what can be automated, and applying relentless editorial discipline. Tally Solutions’ engagement showed that 300 articles per month of compliance-grade content across three geographies is achievable but only if the operational infrastructure is built specifically for that challenge. If you are looking to scale content in a regulated industry without compromising accuracy, we would be happy to discuss how we can help.
